DAVID S. WESSON, P.E.
President & CEO
Serial Entrepreneur, Innovator, Inventor and Oil & Gas Professional. Mr. Wesson started his career in 1982 at Halliburton’s Tools Research and Engineering and later served as Engineering Manager of Halliburton’s Vann Systems TCP division. He was a principal and executive at Owen Oil Tools starting in 1991 and served as President of the company from 1998 to 2001. He served as a Director of Probe Technology Services (and later Probe Holdings) from 1994 through 2016. In 2004, Mr. Wesson founded GEODynamics, Inc. and serves as a Director, President and CEO. Mr. Wesson is the inventor or co-inventor of more than 60 US patents. He has extensive patent licensing and technology commercialization experience. He is a registered professional engineer (TX 61016) and holds a BS degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University (1982) and a MBA degree from Southern Methodist University (EMBA 2004). He is also an active start-up & angel investor and was the founding chairman of the Aggie Angel Network (2010), based in College Station, TX.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Smith joined GEODynamics as Chief Financial Officer in 2016. Prior to joining GEODynamics, he was a Vice President with Lime Rock Partners, where he analyzed, executed, monitored and advised investments in the E&P and oilfield service space, including serving on the Board of Directors of a number of portfolio companies. Mr. Smith started his career with the investment bank Simmons & Company, where he advised energy service companies on acquisitions, divestitures and capital raises. Mr. Smith holds a BS degree in Finance and International Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University (2007).
Corporate Development Officer, New Ventures & Intervention Tools Product Line Manager
Rob has over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing and distribution of perforating and completion equipment. Having been with GEODynamics since its founding, Rob has served in various managerial roles in manufacturing, administration and finance as well as compliance. He currently has a dual role, serving as Corporate Development Officer and performing the Product Line Management for
Intervention Tools products. As Corporate Development Officer, Mr. Davis works closely with the CEO to get new ventures online quickly while fitting them with the GEODynamics corporate culture. His product line management role keeps him close to the oil & gas well completions market as he is responsible for the success of GEODynamics’ product offerings in oil tools related to well intervention. Previous experience in this field includes seven years with Owen Oil Tools (now a division of CLB) as Controller and IT Manager, and nine years with GOEX International. Rob is co-inventor of the Saberjet slot perforator. He is a member of SPE and serves on the Stewardship Committee of his church and formally served on the Board of Trustees for the Joshua Independent School District. Mr. Davis holds a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech and an MBA from TCU.
JOHN HARDESTY, P.E.
Vice President, Engineering & Development
John Hardesty heads a dedicated, industry leading engineering group for GEODynamics. This group is focused on inventing, developing, and bringing to market new downhole solutions that enable unsurpassed well economics, performance, and lifespan. John has 20 years of innovation in ballistic shaped charges, perforating tools, software simulations, laboratory simulations, and downhole lower completion tools. He has been involved in strategic industry standards development efforts designed to fundamentally improve the way perforating products are evaluated and marketed. John is the holder of multiple patents across a broad range of applications, and actively seeks to foster innovation in others.
Vice President, US Sales
Josh Spraker leads the company’s Business Development Team and is responsible for the company’s overall sales strategy which includes identifying and building long-term partnerships with operating and service companies. Josh joined GEODynamics back in 2014 as a Sr. Business Development Manager for the Rockies and Appalachian markets. Prior to joining GEODynamics, Josh spent 12 years in sales, in the Medical Device industry. Josh received his degree (B.S.B.A) from the University of Richmond – Robins School of Business in 2002.
Vice President, Eastern Hemisphere
Chris has over 30 years of perforating experience specializing in electric line, slickline and Tubing Conveyed Perforating, Chris started his career with Gearhart Owen before holding several international based management, technical and sales roles with Vann Systems and latterly Halliburton in Australia, Malaysia, Egypt, U.A.E., United Kingdom and Norway. Chris founded GeoKey Limited in 2007 to provide perforating products and services to North Sea customers however this expanded to international operations in countries such as Uganda, Kenya, Iraq and Greece. Chris is a member of SPE and The Institute of Explosive Engineers in the UK. Chris currently is the GEODynamics Eastern Hemisphere Vice President and the Managing Director of GEODynamics (U.K.) Limited.
Vice President, Latin America
Efrain Munoz began his career working in the oil field for Seismograph Service Corporation after studying electronics engineering. In 1982, Efrain moved to Welex where he started working as an open and cased hole logging engineer and was later promoted to Sales Manager. While in Mexico City, he introduced JRC charges to Pemex and went back to the field to work in Kuwait. Before the first gulf war, he came back to Mexico where Efrain was instrumental in bringing HLS back into Mexico.In 1993, Efrain and his partner started Jaex, a joint venture with Owen Oil Tools who at the time was managed by Harold Owen and David Wesson. Jaex soon became the dominant player in selling charges to Pemex, capturing 100% of the market. Efrain currently is the Vice President for Latin America for GEODynamics.
Director of Administration & Human Resources
Tracy joined GEODynamics in March 2014. She is a Senior Level Human Resource Professional with 20 years of experience acquired in industrial and manufacturing business segments and has extensive knowledge in employee relations, compensation, talent development and performance management.
